On June 13, 1983, the $2.5M Lester H. Swanlund Administration Building was dedicated, a gift of Maybelle Swanlund in honor of her late husband. The building, designed by Unteed, Scaggs, Fritch, Nelson, Ltd, and originally only 3 floors, was rededicated on October 15, 1987, after Swanlund had funded the addition of two more floors, making the building 5 stories tall and a total of 35,000 square feet. #Administration #Lester #Swanlund #University_of_Illinois
