Well... it may not seem like it but it's true. I've been far too busy lately to get anything modeled, and I've been doing other stuff in my spare time. I guess one could say I'm not exactly going into a state of depression because the UAF is now bupkis. Truth be told, I'm almost happy. It all started when Thin Smek posted the link to his blog, and I looked at the links to flight simulators. One of them was called orbiter. Orbiter I found to be great because it simulates quite effectively what real space travel wold be like. There are no alien space ships you must destroy or soldiers to ferry to other planets; instead, you need knowledge of orbital planning and mechanics.You can put yourself in Earth orbit, or fly to mars. Pictured here is the DeltaGlider, Orbiter's signature vessel. I imported it to blender, and then to sketchup. I would like to hold a contest for texturing it, but that probably won't happen(tell me if you're interested).Orbiter's vessel selection is not limited to science fiction. you can pilot the space shuttle, or, thanks to varios addons, even the Saturn V.
