Hey Woodworkers...This is a design for a 45 degree BEVEL cutoff sled. It is built with a plywood base but without a hardwood runner...this makes it portable and doesn't lock it down to being used on one particular table-saw!
***Usage hint: When cutting bevels on the end of a work piece, make sure that you attach a fence at 90 degrees to the jig deck...this will give you a true 45 degree bevel and prevent any blow-out and/or splintering of the beveled edge. Don't forget to clamp it down securely to remove any distortion. For long edge bevels also clamp the work piece securely to the jig deck with at least two clamps, again this make the cut safer and removes any potential distortion.
