The U.S.S.Baton Rouge NCC-1300 was a warp six capable United Federation of Planets Light Cruiser constructed at the San Francisco Fleetyard’s Magellan Orbital Complex and launched in 2196. Featuring a new disk-shaped Primary hull containing the oversized single impulse engine, attached via a connecting pylon to a triangular shaped Engineering hull supporting dual warp nacelles, the 245 m long starship would be assigned to the Federation’s Alpha Quadrant Defense Group, where, over time and thru several refits, it would serve until retired from service in 2280.
