Maybe you're too young to remember "Space 1999", this sci-fi television series from the 70's. Nuclear waste from Earth, which was stored on the Moon's far side, explodes in a catastrophic accident on 13 September 1999, knocking the Moon out of orbit and sending it, and the 311 inhabitants of Moonbase Alpha, hurtling uncontrollably into space..The CommLock is the communication device of the Alpha Base staff. It serves to communicate, even at long distances (ancestor of GSM, although larger...). It opens the doors of the various sectors of the base, according authorizations of each member, all areas being not accessible to everyone.
