20 mm Solothurn (Anti-tank rifle)

AEK-971
The Solothurn S-18/100 20 mm Anti-Tank Cannon was a Swiss anti-tank rifle used during the Second World War. It had a semi-automatic action. As a result of its large, powerful ammunition the gun had a tremendous recoil, and its size made portability difficult. The Solothurn firearms company was owned by the German firm Rheinmetall, and used the Swiss company to manufacture arms which were prohibited for manufacture by any German firm, to get around arms limitations imposed upon them at the end of the first World War. #132_mm_Rifle_AntiTank_Mauser #145mm_PTRD41 #145mm_PTRS41 #20 #20mm #antimateriel_rifles #antitank #armour #Bazooka #big_game #Boys_Antitank_Rifle #British #bullet #cartridge #collar_bone #Finland #German #german_antitank_rifle #Germany #grenade_launchers #hunting #Ironclad #Japan #Karabin_przeciwpancerny_wz35 #L39_20mm_Lahti #light_tanks #M2_50_cal_machine_gun #Mark_I #Nazi_Germany #Panzer_I #Panzer_II #Panzerbüchse #Panzerfaust #Poland #recoilless_rifles #rifle #rocket_launchers #rocketpropelled_grenades #Second_World_War #shaped_charge #sniper_rifles #solothurn #Solothurn_20mm_S18100 #Soviet_Union #Switzerland #tank #tanks #Type_97_20_mm_AT_Rifle #United_Kingdom #World_War_I
