Moving Gantry CNC draft design
NEMA23 stepper motors (mounting plate)
16mm ballscrews for X & Y, 12mm ballscrew for Z
20mm round rails for X & Y, 16mm rails for Z
Square tube sections welded or bolted together - based on 50/50 or 35/35 sections
Spindle centre can cover a volume of 480 x 390 x 150
Table based on slotted extrusions to allow wide range of clamping
Should be able to mill plastic, wood, light metals.
Not decided on whether to have dual or single ballscrew moving the gantry so design has both in place.
There's no thought been given to materials in this sketch ... and my use of layers and groups/components is a erratic as I was making stuff up on the fly.
