One of TTX's many hi-cube boxcars, these built by the railcar manufacturer TrinityRail. While the 50ft Plate F boxcars owned by TTX bear the reporting mark FBOX, the 60ft Boxcars bear the reporting mark TBOX and are numbered in the 600000 series*.
This railcar can be seen on railroads across the United States, Canada and Mexico. This example wears TTX yellow. The TTX railcar pool, formerly known as Trailer Train, was a subsidiary of the Pennsylvania Railroad when it was created to run piggyback trailer intermodal service. Now it pools a wide variety of railcars, including boxcars, centerbeam flatcars, intermodal spine and well cars, and gondolas.
*It is probable that not all horizontal-reinforced 60ft boxcars come from TrinityRail.
