This chicken coop was designed using .703" thick plytanium plywood, redwood 2x4 legs and 2x2 framing. The build requires screws/nails, wood glue, sealing, painting and roofing materials. Most importantly make sure you have some way to seal the base! I used fiberglass & resin to completely waterproof the area where the chickens will be walking. The models for the Chickens, hinges, screws, latches were taken from the 3D Warehouse, though I dont have time to list the authors individually the work theyve done is amazing. The only thing I ask is that if you use my design please let me know! I'd love to hear how and where my design is being used.
Notes: This coop design could use a few more perches or roosts for the hens on the outside and inside of the coop. The design is meant to allow nesting boxes to protrude outside the normal enclosure for easy access to eggs. Just below the roof level a few vents should be installed to keep moisture down and prevent any mildew or mold from forming. Have fun with this build and be good to your chickens!
