The EMD F7(A) is a diesel-electric locomotive manufactured by the General Motors Electro-Motive Division from February of 1949 to December of 1953. With a 16-Cylinder 567B, this locomotive is capable of outputting 1,500 horsepower, and has a continuous tractive effort at 40,000 lbf. A total of 2,393 cab (A) units were built.
