The EMD GP38-2 is a 4-axle road switcher built by Electro-Motive Division produced from 1972 to 1986. It is capable of outputting 2,000 HP and has a top speed of 65 mph. A total of 2,213 units have been produced and many railroads still use these locomotives, many having been rebuilt to extend their service life.
The Connecticut Southern Railway, reporting mark CSOR, is a short line railroad owned by the Genesee & Wyoming (G&W) railroad holding company.
