From Star Trek – The Motion Picture, the sentient machine entity V’Ger enters Earth orbit on its quest to discover the secret of its creator, followed closely by the Refit USS Enterprise NCC-1701. Using the Scene tabs reveals the Enterprise, a tiny spec behind V’ger’s enormous size. This model, by Michael Mundwiller, was downloaded from the internet and converted to the sketchup format, and with the exception of a few of the model textures is entirely the product of Mr. Mudwiller . While a search of the internet lists various lengths for the ship, I have chosen to size the model to a scale length of 97.5 kilometers, the larger of the lengths found.
