It is an octagonal cylindrical tower with lantern and gallery. The eight faces of the tower are painted alternately black and white, creating vertical stripes; lantern and gallery painted white. Located just off highway 1 on a prominent cape about 8 km (5 mi) south of Breiðdalsvik. The model is based upon information taken from the 2012 "List of Lights" produced by the Icelandic Coast Guard and from photographs found on the Internet. #iceland #streiti #streitwi_ighthouse
