A new stadium for the Boston Bruins of the NHL and the Boston Celtics of the NBA. The stadium could also serve as the home of the Boston Blazers NLL team. The New Boston Garden, built in the same place as the old Boston Garden and the current TD Garden, would seat 24,300 people for Bruins games and 25,000 for Celtics games. It would also serve as a venue for the Beanpot and Hockey East tournements, as well as concerts, conventions, and other events. The largest HD scoreboard of its kind in the world hangs above center ice. The stadium was inspired by the architecture of the Verizon Center, the Saddledome, and the old Boston Garden, which was torn down in 1997. Just as its predecessors, the new Garden will be built on top of Boston's North Station train station.
