Often known as the "bottle opener" and arguably the most iconic of the supertall trio at The Bund, the Shanghai World Financial Center opened in 2008 as the world's second tallest building. At 492 m in height (494 m to the tip), it was originally planned to be a meter taller than the Taipei 101, tallest at the time, until a height restriction was imposed later on. Nonetheless, the impressive skyscraper boasts 3 observation decks at 423 m, 439 m and 474 m respectively. The top deck spans the building's famous aperture and also features the second highest glass floor in the world.
