The Corban College Clock Tower was completed in 2008 and was funded through generous donations from friends of Corban College. The tower is 54' 2" tall. The working clock movement was built in 1897 in Morez, France and weighs over 250 pounds. The movement itself is located at the base of the tower and a picture of it is visible through a window. A rod extends from the movement to the top of the tower to move the hands of the clock. The movement also rings a 48", 100 pound bell on the hour and half hour. Two weights inside the tower powers a pendulum and escapement that turns the gear train. The 30 foot travel of these weights is wound weekly by hand. Architect: William G.
