The current flag of Cambodia was re-adopted in 1993, after the return to government of the monarchy, following the elections. The flag is composed of three horizontal bands: a red central one and two blue ones placed at the upper and lower ends, the red band is double the height of the blue ones. At the center of the red band is the archaeological complex of Angkor Wat, symbol of Cambodia's imperial past.
It is used as a flag of convenience.
