Saplings are an important resource obtained from leaves that allows trees to be grown. In 1.2 there was a bug where you could grow 2x2 jungle trees with only one jungle sapling. This could be done by planting a jungle sapling in one corner of a 2x2 dirt square, then planting any other types of sapling in the other places.
