The mechanisms in this probably (they SHOULD) work. The grey parts are steel to reduce wear. Make it out of whatever wood you want, the steel parts are really cheap, as long as you can cut them with a cut-off wheel. You have to figure out how to shave down the parts for the metal. The mechanisms are triggered by being pushed outwards, by a ramp-like wedge that moves into the spinning levers when the trigger is squeezed. it can spin however you want, a crank or a motor, i'll leave that up to you. You might put a spring of sorts to counteract centrifigal force and gravity (on the bottom) on the levers. Bolt it together for strength and also to be able to replace parts if necessary.
