An old hangar of the past Military Airport which covered an area to the north west of the building. The airport was operating fully between 1950' and 1980', and used to have two concrete runways: RWY (10/28) - 2500m (8203ft) & RWY (5/23) - 1950m (6398ft)- now Powstańców Śląskich street. Today, a small part of the past airfield is called Warsaw Babice Airport (ICAO code: EPBC), but is often referred to as Bemowo Airport, being located in Bemowo district. EPBC airport, as a runway, uses only 1300m x 90m of the old RWY (10/28)
