Here's my second custom track for MKWhee. Even though I grew up when the SNES was the latest and greatest console, I never really played any F-Zero until GX came out, but it made me a huge fan. To make this track I imported a detailed image by Rick N. Bruns of the SNES level from snesmaps.com, traced it and applied new textures made in photoshop (a few are direct from the original though.) I chose this level because of the 5 maps available by Rick, this one looked like it would be the most fun when adapted to mario kart. It has a series of 9 jump ramps and and plenty of snaking curves. I made a few changes from the original to spice things up because karts are much slower than F-Zero machines. There are 4 new boost pads on the track and I angled the blue track border thingies around the track (similar to F-Zero X) to make to add some visual interest. There are also now massive concrete supports holding the track up and it's in some sort of purple alien ocean.
