United Airlines is a major American airline that was founded as Varney Air Lines on April 6, 1926, and commenced operations on March 28, 1931. It is a founding Star Alliance member and the third-largest airline in the world by fleet size and route network. Main hubs are Chicago, Denver, Guam, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, San Francisco and Washington. United merged with Continental Airlines in 2010 and unveiled their new livery in April 2019.
