MASON is a chimpanzee who loves his Upper East Side apartment in the Central Park Zoo. He enjoys the culture and refined lifestyle of the city, including the fine dining literally at his "disposal." PHIL is another chimpanzee who has been Mason's slob of a roommate for 14 years, after having been kicked out of the linguistics department at Columbia University. Besides the pleasure he gains from living under his own filth, he is fluent in American Sign Language and has an insatiable craving for root beer.
