FMC 5077 50ft Boxcar - Guilford Rail System (Pan Am Railways)

TRG
The FMC 5077 50ft Boxcar was a popular boxcar among many railroads. Such were purchased originally by the Maine Central Railroad. FMC is now owned by the railcar manufacturer Greenbrier. When Guilford Transportation purchased the Boston & Maine and Maine Central, they inherited their fleets of boxcars. Many of these boxcars were painted into Guilford colors, and while some now wear Pan Am colors, many can still be seen in Guilford's Big G livery. After the CSX acquisition of Pan Am Railways, since many of these boxcars are at the end of their service life, CSX is beginning to scrap these cars.
