M60A2 Starship Main Battle Tank in US Army Service during the Cold War (1947-1991).
The M60A2 is a variant of the M60 Patton Main Battle Tank and was developed as a force multiplier for units, operating the M60A1s. It was nicknamed Starship due to its sophisticated technology. Development of this tank began in the late 1960s and soon entered service with the US Army in 1972.
