The cathedral from the 'Pillars of the Earth' novel. The dimensions are completely unrealistic for an English cathedral of that period (in the novel it is supposed to be finished in 1170), but I decided to take that little freedom because I would have found the church not that impressive comparing it to the things the French accomplished only a few decades later. Also all movie and video game depictions of the cathedral make no sense compared with the given year. My model is made after the video depiction, there is no way anyone would have built a gothic church of that style and dimension in 1170, especially not on the British isles since the flying buttres wasn't even a thing in France before 1200. But whatever... :D I liked the design anyway and I am usually not such a great fan of English Gothic style. I normally prefer the French style.
