This is the Peregrine V8, MSX's all new small block V8 engine. It will be produced in twin turbo 4.0 and 4.4 litre versions and will eventually replace the 5.0 and 5.2L supercharged Tigersnake V8, leaving just the 5.9 and 6.0L. This 4.0L produces 324kW(434hp) and 569Nm(420ft lb).To reduce turbo lag, small, variable vane turbchargers were used. Like the Tigersnake, t's a quad cam enigne, but unlike the tigersnake, or any other MSX engine it has 5 valves per cylinder for better performance.
