In 1996, a generous school family then purchased the old Quechee Grammar School and gifted to; the school’s first permanent home. In the fall of 1996, school began in Quechee the current location with a nursery class, 1 kindergarten and grades 1-3. Two classrooms were renovated during the summer of 1997, and the trailer was purchased in order to accommodate a rapidly growing student body. In 1998, the decision was made to grow the school to a full eight grades. Building renovations and additions ensued to accommodate swelling enrollment and pending middle school-aged classes. Two years later, the school purchased the adjoining 2-acre property and 19th century farmhouse. A brand new building,named Roberts House (in honor of the Roberts family’s long-standing commitment to the school and to Waldorf education) complete with four nursery/kindergarten classrooms and faculty office space was completed in 2004.
