Some progress on my model of Whitby Abbey, the North Transept of which is taking shape. Also somewhat integrated with topography from the geo-locations function. I've also had to include a sort of base for the building, so it sits on the ground more realistically and so the distorted aerial shadow and photos are not in view below the model. The Abbey is unusual as is built on ground that rises in two subtle but distinct steps, and also (not clear on this model yet as I have yet to model the nave, not that much remains of it to be modelled) the fact that it bends slightly in the middle and the nave and choir are not in line. #abbey #cliffs #coast #dracula #goth #gothic #medieval #monastery #ruins #whitby #yorkshire
