This model is of a 1939 Citroen Traction Avant Cabriolet. The Traction Avant was produced between 1934 and 1957 with relatively few changes to styling, so this model could pass for a variety of years. The Traction Avant was ahead of its time with the use of a unitary body and frame, four wheel independent suspension and front wheel drive, which is what Traction Avant translates to. The 11CV in the name is actually the name of the car, but they are most commonly known as Traction Avants, at least in the United States.
