The M60 Patton Medium Tank was the successor of the popular M48 Patton Medium Tank. It became an integral part of the battle tank arsenal of the US Army during the latter years of the Cold War and first saw action in Israeli service during the Yom Kippur War of 1973. extensively used during the Lebanon Crisis of 1982 and by the US Marines during Operation Urgent Fury up to the First Gulf War in 1991. It was in service with the US Marine Corps as well as in various countries such as Israel, Saudi Arabia, Republic of Taiwan, Thailand, etc.
