This is an electromechanical horn/strobe that is powered by 12 or 24VDC. (The 12VDC model being 7002T-12 and the 24VDC model being 7002T-24) The strobe and horn are wired in series, resulting in a characteristic "skipping" sound of the horn. This series is a replacement for an older model, the 7002. The 7002 had a black diaphragm, and had a less protective grille.
