Moving away from my usual spaceship models I decided to model the Dreadnok Thunder Machine, a G.I. Joe toy released by Hasbro in 1986. The vehicle appeared in the animated series and was one of my favorite G.I. Joe toys when I was a kid. The DTM was used by the Dreadnoks, a ruthless biker gang/mercenary group allied to COBRA, and lead by the notorious assassin/spy Zartan. The vehicle was armed by a pair of heavy gatling guns as its main weapon and had a rear-mounted jet turbine for added power and speed. It was built and driven by the gang's mechanic named Thrasher. To create this model, I cannibalized some parts from other Warehouse models, most notably the early 80's Pontiac TransAm front end section, although I had to clean up the mesh and modify it quite a bit.
