My entry for the Guggenheim / SketchUp Design It Shelter Entry contest:
The conceit behind this shelter’s location is the right to construct it at a local beach; close enough to cycle to, but remote enough to be a retreat, however, the design would be equally suited to a backyard or any number of locations. The compact interior includes a semi-private Murphy bed/desk area. This opens into a brighter space leading to a deck.
