this is a model of the roman ruins at wroxeter in shropshire in england. the tall wall is the basilica. the comple x around that is the baths and the market. the pink stones show were the walls used to be. the rectangular wall with 2 semi circular ends was the outside pool. the grey wall with the columns is the remains of the forum. the little stones are the underground heating system called the hypocaust. wroxeter was called virconoum cornoivum after the local tribe the cornovii. it was occupied from 58 ad up to 642 ad long after the roman army had left britian. it is a good place to visit. it was the 4th biggest city in roman britian #ancient #britannia #britian #city #england #history #roman #rome #ruin #shropshie #wroxeter
