There was an old museum at this place for a long time. Unforunatly it was almost completely destroyed in the II WorldWar. Only parts remained. 2008 the city decided to revitalise the museum. They extended it with the upper part. Also the complete interior was renovated. Today the buliding serves not only as a place to exhibit pieces of modern art, but also have a recreational function.
