The Goldfield Hotel, which was constructed in 1908 during the town’s mining boom years, has been closed since 1945. Once called the most luxurious hotel west of Chicago, the hotel now sits vacant in a half-remodelled state following several false starts to restore the hotel and bring it back to its former glory.
The hotel is apparently haunted, with the ghost of a murdered prostitute named Elizabeth roaming the halls and especially room 109.
