A simple but good looking project that could serve 2 purposes :
- storage for books and other items
- or it could be used as a dollhouse / playhouse !
( If you are motivated, you could also cut little holes between floors and add small ladders to accentuate the playability of it ! )
Construction notes :
I was able to cut all the pieces from a single 3/4" sheet of plywood. I assembled the whole thing using pre-drilled screws that I hid with plaster (along with most imperfections of the plywood). I then painted it all in white.
All measurements are custom-made for where this was installed (the height of the first floor is bigger to accommodate an electrical socket, the cutoff at the back to accommodate the molding on the wall, etc). But everything could be adjusted to your needs.
A note about angles :
Everything is squared except the pieces that constitute the roof. I couldn't get angles exactly right in the 3D model but know that in practice I just rounded every angles to 35 degrees on my circular saw and it all fitted perfectly !
