This 46-room yellow hotel is currently undergoing massive restoration works, and is for sale for 4,900,000 USD. Quite a lot for this small building, four blocks away from the ocean and in terrible condition. Most of the Art Deco buildings were built during the time of the great Depression, which meant low-budget building and designs. This is why Art Deco decorations were only added on the front, and on the sides just they go at most only 10 feet back. This is also visible on this building, which has castle-like columns seperating three parts in this symmetrical façade. On the sides there are only two columns with two windows in between, and the rest is just a plain wall with rows of windows. The very ornate roofline of the decorated parts of the building has ribbed edges, and between windows of the second story and windows of the first story, bas-relief embellishments were added.
