Version 3 includes further updates and corrections. In addition, all the interior spaces have now been added.
The interior is as impressive as the exterior. The discipline of the detailing is incredible yet appropriately practical for what is a public building. Most of the public spaces are fully rendered with colour and textures. Other inaccessible spaces are partly developed based on historical photos and plans (which may be outdated) or are just blocked-in as best as possible for now.
While it was attempted to provide all the most important detail, I regret that to manage the overall size of the model some high polygon items were abstracted or not shown (like the exquisite Gispen furniture!). Nonetheless, the model should provide an enjoyable and informative tour for those who can not actually visit this magnificent building.
Designed by Willem Marinus Dudok (1884-1974) and constructed between 1924 and 1931, this building is known internationally as one of the most influential and exceptional icons of the early modern movement. It elegantly crossed the boundaries of the traditional Dutch and International styles that were prevalent at the time. By doing so it was, and is, not only recognized by the architectural community but also dearly loved by the general population. The Raadhuis is without doubt Dudok’s masterpiece. The level of architectural resolution and detail coordination is truly astounding.
There are scene tabs set up for all developed major interior spaces.
