This is my rendition of a ship similar to the original design of the Lexington class Battlecruisers. The Lexingtons were suppose to be an answers to the Kongō class battlecruiser being built by the Japanese between 1911 and 1915. As time progressed, the designs for the Lexington class were altered extensively and the project was ultimately cancelled in 1922. The two ships that were already being built, however, were then converted into the aircraft carriers USS Lexington (CV-2) and USS Saratoga (CV-3). #1916 #Battlecruiser #concept #design #Lexington #Navy #Steel #USS
