City of Caldwell 2017 (so far)

Double E
In 2017 #Caldwell, the sky is frequently hazy because of the persistent chemtrails, and a great deal of the remaining brownfields that haven't already been demolished have been converted into condos and mixed use development. Very few of the factories actually continue with industrial activity. Timeline: 2008: Caldwell Gallery closes down. 2010: Demolition of the former Caldwell Gallery mall begins. 2011: The Fun Emporium changes it's name to Partypolooza. 2012: Ingram Memorial Library shuts it's doors, and it's assets are relocated to the main library and the city archives. 2014: Demolition of the Caldwell mall is complete, and construction of a new office tower begins at the former site. 2015: Bicycle Boulevard, the then currently oldest running bike shop in the city, closes shop after the owner retires after 42 consecutive years. 2016: A new local bike shop called Live-2-Ride buys the space of BB. 2018: One of the city's most well known companies, the Caldwell Candies Association, better known as CACA, goes through a leveraged buyout after it fails to find a buyer. Hundreds of the workers are now jobless. As the news goes public, mobs of Caldwellians rush to the stores to bulk buy the last Caca Biscuits, BlackFriday style.
