Brooks Hall and Kamphoefner Hall

NCSU DELTA
NC State's first library, Brooks Hall resembles Thomas Jefferson's Monticello in Virginia. Today, Brooks Hall houses the School of Design with student work and exhibitions of notable design work displayed in the corridors. The School of Design has gained a worldwide reputation in the past few decades and its building is named after an exceptional educational leader, Eugene Clyde Brooks (1871-1941). Kamphoefner Hall is an uncompromising modern design with a total area of 39,134 square feet. It is named for Henry L. Kamphoefner, the first dean of the School of Design in 1948, when the school was formed from architectural engineering and landscape architecture. Under Kamphoefner's leadership, the school quickly attracted national attention for the quality of its programs, faculty and students. #Architecture #Brooks #BS #COD #College_of_Design #KAM #Kamphoefner #NC_State #NCSU
