Named after his secret wife, Senator Amidala, the "Azure Angel" was Anakin Skywalker's personal, modified Delta-7 light interceptor, which he used up until the Battle of Muunilinst. Anakin modeled the paintjob after that of his podracer on Tatooine. The "Azure Angel" was equipped with four Taim & Bak laser cannons, two mounted on each wingtip. Skywalker also equipped the "Angel" with two TransGalMeg hyperdrive thrusters, eliminating the need for a hyperdrive ring. It was destroyed by the Dark Jedi, Asajj Ventress, on Yavin IV, but was replaced by an identically modified fighter called the "Azure Angel II."
