Heckington Windmill

Heckington Windmill

Jonathan G.
Heckington Windmill, known locally as Pocklington's mill, is the only surviving 8-sailed windmill in th UK. The mill was built in 1830, originally as a five sailed windmill. Following a storm when it was severely damaged, it was repaired by John Pocklington in 1892, using the cap and sails from a windmill in nearby Boston. The mill is now fully restored, and run by The Friends of Heckington Windmill, a registered charity. They hope with enough donations, to one day buy the mill house and some of the land around the windmill. Please see their web-site for more information on how you can help.----------About the model; this has been produced with many small details, but some may be lost due to the optimisation process by Google.
