The menhir of Champ Dolent is the largest menhir erected in Brittany. Located near the city of Dol-de-Bretagne,
it measures nearly 10 m high. It has been registered as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture
since 1889. The word menhir is Britannic: 'maen' means stone and 'hir' means high.
The stone is sculpted granite. It has been brought to the location from over 4 kilometres away. It stands high
