Credits to Mr G the Sheep, dre737, Atsuk0, SAElin and Maberick Rocha for the 737 MAX 8 Template. The flag carrier of Iceland, Icelandair was launched back in 1937 as Flugfélag Akureyrar, relaunched in 1940 as Flugfélag Íslands and came about it's current name in 1979, after a merger with private carrier Loftleiðir. It is currently based in Keflavík, near the capital city of Reykjavik, operating flights across the Atlantic to Europe and North America. It has ordered 16 of the Boeing 737-8 MAX airliners. The new colourful livery was introduced in 2022, inspired by the nature of Iceland and the northern lights in 5 different coloured tails, namely boreal blue, magenta, sky blue, yellow and green.
