This is Doppler radar (Air Route Servellience Radar).This radar is used for Mumbai Juhu Airport.Earlier RADAR antenna(One might have seen the rotating antenna in old hindi films!)replaced with this football like dome.(Antenna is inside.) A Doppler radar can give an accurate weather forecast over a 24-hour cycle. The Met department had initially shortlisted four places — Worli, Aarey Colony, Juhu and Kalina in Santacruz — for installing the radar.After the 26/7 disaster last year, the state has also been showing keen interest to get the radar installed in the city. #Doppler #Doppler_radar_Juhu_Aerodrome #radar
