This is my design for an attic access ladder that can retract into the ceiling. It is designed to be installed 8' above the floor between studs/trusses on 24" centers. It is modeled without the extension mechanism to reduce file size for incorporation into larger models and is also an active component that fully extends and retracts with the click function.
