The Silodam is a groyne in the westerly docks of Amsterdam, capital of the Netherlands. The ca. 300 meters long groyne rises in the IJ. In 1998-2002 a modern appartmentbuilding, designed by the architectural office MVRDV, was realised at the head of the Silodam.
